Punjab CM directs Depts to complete pending works to mark 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak

CHANDIGARH: As the year-long celebrations head to a close, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday directed all departments to conclude all pending works initiated to commemorate the historic 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and to highlight the 550 projects completed in 65 villages during this period.

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government is going to celebrate the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on a grand scale with full religious fervour. The celebrations would see ‘Nanak Naam Leva Sangat’ from all corners of the globe. The Punjab Government solicits wholehearted cooperation from the Union Government with regard to these celebrations. The Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi emphatically took up this issue with the Union Tourism Minister Mr. Prahlad Patel during an informal meeting with the latter in New Delhi today. Mr. Channi also demanded that the Union Government must immediately release Rs. 100 crore for the celebrations.

Punjab CM demands from center second AIIMS for state on Guru Nanak's 550th Parkash Purb

NEW DELHI:  Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has sought a detailed proposal from Punjab for dedicating the second AIIMS in the state to the historic 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in response to a request for the same from Chief Minister Captain Amarinder.

550 NRI Punjabis to be invited for 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji: Rana Sodhi

CHANDIGARH: “The Punjab Government would extend invitation to the 550 NRI Punjabis on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be held during November, 2019.” This was disclosed here today by Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi on assuming charge as the NRI Affairs Minister, Punjab. On the occasion, Rana Sodhi who is also the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister held first meeting with the senior officers of the department.
